Die Operation besteht aus zwei Teilen. Zun\u00e4chst wird in dem mit der Speiser\u00f6hre verbundenen Teil des Magens ein kleinvolumiger Pouch angelegt. Dieser geformte Beutel nimmt ein Volumen von ungef\u00e4hr 30-50 ml ein. Im Gegensatz zur Schlauchmagenentfernung wird der Rest des Magens nicht entfernt.
