Gülden Ballı, MD
Born in Izmir, Gülden Ballı, after completing her primary and secondary education in Izmir, entered Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, one of the best universities in Turkey and Europe, with a degree in the national exam.
During her student years, she was particularly interested in General Surgery and in 2002 she received General Surgery training at the University of Bialystok, Poland, with the ERASMUS program.
She started her specialization in Hacettepe University, Department of General Surgery in 2006 and started working at Hatay Antakya State Hospital in 2012. Here she studied bariatric surgery, which she thought would be beneficial to patients.
Between 2013 and 2018, she continued her studies in the fields of Bariatric Surgery, Laparoscopic Hernia Surgery and Gastrointestinal System Oncological Surgery at Izmir Katip Çelebi University Training and Research Hospital, one of the largest hospitals in Turkey.

She worked as a bariatric surgeon at İzmir Private Egepol Hospital and later established her own private clinic.
Throughout her career, Dr. Ballı had the opportunity to increase her surgical knowledge and experience by working with mentor surgeons who are experts in bariatric surgery in Turkey and Europe. She is an active member of national and international bariatric and metabolic surgery associations. Dr. Ballı attended national and international meetings held in this field and had the opportunity to share her experience with the world’s leading bariatric surgeons.
Having performed thousands of successful surgeries since 2012, Dr. Ballı has experience in gastric sleeve surgery, gastric bypass, gastric botox and gastric balloon treatments.
Currently, she provides a service focused on patient satisfaction in her private clinic in Alsancak, Izmir, together with her obesity treatment team experienced in bariatric surgery.
